Class Registration Procedure:
All classes require registration in person or by phone and must be accompanied by payment in full. Supply lists will be given out upon receipt of payment. Registration ends one week before the class starting date.
If a class description lists a required text or pattern, each student must have their own personal copy with them to comply with copyright laws. If purchased from us, we’ll give a 15% student discount. The discount also applies to all other supplies purchased for the class. Please purchase your required supplies at least one week in advance so if we’ve run out, we will have time to order more before the class.
No refunds will be given unless we receive 7 days notice. You are welcome to send another in your place. If registration is below our teacher’s minimum and the class must be cancelled, we’ll call you and issue a shop credit or refund.
Many meals go through the lunch hour. Feel free to bring a sack lunch or snacks.
As a courtesy to others in class:
Please do not bring children or visitors. Do not wear perfume or cologne.
Turn off cell phones during class.
PLEASE NOTE: You should have a basic knowledge of quiltmaking for all these quilting classes with the exception of the Beginning Quilting & Kids Can Quilt Too. Please mark your calendar with all your class dates and times as no reminders will be sent.
It’s A Wrap Again Instructor – Mistianne Guzman
You've taken Mistianne's It's A Wrap class and become totally addicted to this fun technique! Are you ready to learn some of the advanced techniques and embellishment options? Then join Mistianne for F.F. & F. (further fun and frivolity). You'll expand on your basic knowledge and learn tricks to making lids, decorative handles, cups, bags, basket handles & more. Domestic Machine Quilting Instructor – Mari VanderStelt
It's time to finish those UFOs! Primitive, heirloom, modern or minimalist, this class will teach you the ins & outs of getting your quilt tops out of the closet & on to the bed (or wall or table or. .). You'll learn straight line & free motion quilting as well as the basics of setting your machine up and getting your quilt ready for quilting (stretching the layers, basting, marking, etc.) Take a breath; it's really easier than you think!

Liberty Stars Instructor – Mari VanderStelt
Learn to make those amazing "Double Stars" using the Y seam technique. You'll learn how to make all the seams line up nicely, how to set in and piece Y seams and how to measure & piece your border for the flattest quilt top possible. Contrary to belief, this is not a difficult block and will rank high on your satisfaction & "see-ma-look-what-I-can-did scale"!

French Braid Style Candle Mat Instructor – Margaret Ferguson
Learn to make this beautiful candle mat that is, guess what? Quilted as you go! Using careful quarter inch seams will give you a perfect mat for displaying a special candle, vase or holiday centerpiece. Your finished mat will measure approximately 12" X 24". Some quilting experience is essential for this project.

Art Quilter’s Toolbox Instructor - Linda Johansen
This is a chance to stretch yourself a bit & learn some new ways of creating small art quilts. The classes will cover color & design, fusing techniques & products, surface design & manipulation and several curved piecing methods. You'll be encouraged to do a weekly quilt to try something new - no matter how small. Be prepared for fun & freedom. Class meets once a month for 4 months.

Flying Double Instructor – Pauly Edwards
Learn a new idea from an old trick by using a one seam Flying Geese block (think a loose goose) Then kick it up a notch to a Double Flying Geese block which still is made with only one seam. You'll learn how to piece strips to a layered foundation to create straight vertical & horizontal lines as you quilt as you go. Then learn an easy way to achieve a quarter inch border. Expect in class to complete a small sample quilt.

Design a 6”-8” block…learn how to make freezer paper templates then “making” fabric from those scraps you’ve been you’ve been saving using your freezer paper templates. This is a fun class that really allows you to be creative.

Beginning Quiltmaking Instructor - Linda Johansen
Always wanted to learn how to quilt & the best way to use your tools? Linda's class will cover a new beginning technique each week. You'll learn strip piecing, half & quarter square triangles, partial seaming, flying geese and lots of tricks to speed up your construction in a fun & relaxed atmosphere. There's plenty of optional homework to practice on too - enough to make a king size quilt!

French Braid Table Runner Instructor – Margaret Ferguson
This beautiful table runner is easier than you might think. The most challenging part is choosing the fabrics! You'll learn the French Braid technique and assemble the table runner top. Disappearing Nine Patch Instructor – Joy Norris
Start with a nine patch, cut it apart, then put it back together again! When you're done, no one will know you ever started with a nine patch! We'll be working with 3 1/2" squares but you can make your quilt larger or smaller just by increasing or decreasing the size of your starting squares! There are so many design possibilities with this technique! A great stashbuster quilt!

You will have so much fun taking a square of fabric and turning it into a purse! You'll learn how to fold the cloth to create a one-of-a-kind handbag, tote or carryall. (My granddaughters love these!) They are so very quick & easy to make and you really will go home with a completed project. You can even make a mini handbag to go with an evening gown!

Historically, many guest beds had quilts or coverlets featuring pineapples on them as pineapples are traditionally a symbol of hospitality. You'll learn some of the basics of foundation piecing as you create this welcoming table runner. Pre-drafted foundations are included in the class fee.

Knitting
Sock it up! Instructor – Pauly Edwards
Learn to knit socks using the toe up method on double point needles. This method lets you measure and try on the socks as you go for a better fit.

Basic Sewing Supplies:
Many classes call for “Basic Sewing Supplies”. These are: paper & pencil for note taking, sewing machine with foot control & cord & ¼” foot, bobbins & thread, rotary cutter & mat, rulers, fabric scissors, glass head pins, seam ripper, chalk pencil or chalk wheel and any other special sewing tools you like to use. Please be familiar with your sewing machine and that it is in good working order.
